The Arrow Table

by Laura on January 3, 2013

I love this little gal, The Arrow Table.
 I wanted to do a design with stain, and I’m really liking how this turned out.
We found her at the thrift store not even looking for furniture!
She’s the perfect sofa table, front entry table, or even small kitchen island table/extra prep surface table….whew
I was pretty nervous using stain and design. I originally wanted to do more of a graphic piece.
 Baby Steps.
The simple, clean lines turned out awesome enough.

First I sanded off the top and bottom shelf with 60 grit until the paint was off then with 120 grit for a smoother finish.

Then taped off an easy Arrow pattern.
 I used Dark Walnut {my favorite}  & Natural Stain.
I also put Natural Stain on the bottom shelf.
Everything was sealed with PolyAcrylic. This is a water based sealer that wont give a yellowed effect on the lighter wood color.

The legs got painted a beautiful Turquoise {!!!}

She has such a cool , kinda modern, eclectic, farmhouse vibe… which is exactly what I love in a piece!

This little babe is in the SHOP
